Sylvia Hodge Gregory

Sylvia Hodge Gregory, 69, of Christiansburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Gregory; sons, Todd Douglas Gregory and Dennis Gregory; daughter-in-law, Ellie Gregory; parents, James and Hazel Hodge; brother, Jessie Hodge; and sister, Jean Thompson. Sylvia is survived by her granddaughter, Miranda Gregory; sisters, Mary and husband Roger Dunbar, Ann and husband Jerry Hall, Christine and husband Sheldon Taylor, Alice Holston, Kathy and husband Sayers Dudley; and brother, Jimmy Hodge.

Sylvia was a member of Mountain Top Mission Church and retired from Hubbell Lighting. She was a very strong woman, having endured the loss of close loved ones. She was a special, loving and compassionate person and will be remembered as being a blessing to others with her smile.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, from 12-1 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. in the Chapel, with Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Interment will follow in Draper Christian Memorial Cemetery Burleigh Horton Rd, VA 24324.
