Susan Lester, 61, of Alum Ridge, VA, peacefully departed this life surrounded by the love of her husband of 40 years, Jerry, daughter April and son-in-law, Jerry Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Franklin Rector.
She is also survived by her mother, Elsie Rector; brother & sister-in-law, Jim & Ann Rector; sister & brother-in-law, Jane & Tim Haer; sisters, Becky Johnson, Jody Denton & Linda Rector; nephews, Jeff Johnson & wife, Kim and Jamey Rector & wife, Lauren; niece, Lisa Clausen & husband, Bill and great niece, Miss Anna Clausen.
Special gratitude to Drs. Jaeckle and Wharen of the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, FL; Dr. Mallidi of the Blue Ridge Cancer Care Center; 10th floor Robert of Roanoke Memorial; Nurse Sherry and Miss Karen; and to Norma Cole.
A private service will be held by invitation in celebration of Susan’s life.
