Shirley Ann Linkous

Shirley Ann Linkous, 81, of Blacksburg, Va. went to be with the Lord on Monday July 13, 2026 at Radford Health and Rehab Center of Radford, Va. surrounded by her family.

Shirley was born on April 12, 1945 in Blacksburg, Va. She was the daughter of the late Minor Hess "John" Linkous and Evie Mae Linkous. She was also prerceeded in death by her brother Bernard "Jack" Gilmore, niece Coretha Gilmore Loughridge, brother-in-law Kenneth Kinzie, and niece Janet Kinzie Hotinger.

Shirley is survived by her friend Sarah Lancaster, her sister Velma Gilmore Kinzie, and her brother C.B. Linkous(Betty), and numerous nieces and newphews.

Shirley worked at Corning and Yokohama for many years until retiring. She also volunteered at Montgomery Regional Hospital which she really enjoyed.

The family wishes to thank ACG hospice of Radford, and Radford Health and Rehab Center, especially Hannah, for taking such good care of her. 

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 17th at 11:00 am at Horne Funeral Home in Chrisitansburg, Va. The reverend Craig Reed will officiate.
