Sandra Sue Tinnermeier

Sandra Sue Tinnermeier, 75, of Christiansburg formerly of Newton, IA passed away on December 11, 2025 at her home. She was a lifelong member of the Newton Foursquare Church and served as church secretary for many years. Sandra was a 1968 graduate of Newton Senior High School.  She was a wonderful cook, and especially enjoyed making homemade ice cream for her family and her beloved dog, Sophie.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Lavera Eaton; and brother, Marvin Eaton, Sr.

She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Klingston and Jolinda Linkous and husband, David; 6 grandchildren and spouses, Dalton and Carrie Klingston, Jacob and Ashley O’dell, Spencer and Lauren Linkous, Matthew O’dell

Addison Linkous, and Elijah Linkous; great grandchildren, Bryson, Mackynzi, Lakelyn, Koltyn, Emmersen, and Luke; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank the numerous caregivers who helped Sandra in her last years.

The family will receive friends in Christiansburg on Sunday, December 14 from 5 to 6 p.m at Horne Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends in Newton on December 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newton Foursquare Church. Funeral services will follow at the church at 1.p.m. with Rev. Dottie Black officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to the Newton Foursquare Church.
