Ronald A. Van Dyke, 69, of Christiansburg, VA, died on Friday, July 6, 2012.
He was a 21 year veteran of the U.S. Army, serving 2 terms in Vietnam, After his military service, he worked more than 10 years for Carilion St. Albans Hospital.
He is survived by his wife; Jean Van Dyke; 2 sons, Randy and Darren Van Dyke; one grandson, Andrew Van Dyke; one sister, Chris Meyer of Ft. Pierce FL; and two brothers, Ed Van Dyke of Sunbury, OH and Douglas Van Dyke of Hudson, WI.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
