Roger Dale Kell, 80, of Elliston VA passed on August 16, 2026.

Preceding him in death are his mother, Frances “Lorraine” Kell; wife, Linda Sue Meadows Kell; favorite brother-in-law Roger Lee Meadwell; brother, Chester “Chet” Allen Kell; brother Ronald James Kell.

Loved ones whom will forever cherish his memory are sons, Eric Dale Kell, Adam Kell and wife Meghan, Dawn Noel Adkins (Crabby nabs) – bonus daughter and niece. Brothers, my twin Benjamin “Benny” Harrison Kell, Michael “Mike” Dean Kell, Robin “Scott” Kell; sisters, Brenda “Bratt” Meadwell. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren; and best friend, Dewey Wallace.

Roger proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966-1970. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He received numerous medals, a Purple Heart, National Defense Service medal, Combat Action ribbon, Rifle marksmanship badge and a Good Conduct medal. He was an advanced combat engineer and atomic demolitionist. He enjoyed motorcycles and working on motorized vehicles. Roger was employed at U.S. Steel; was a truck driver and a maintenance worker. He also attended Concord University.
