Robert Long

LONG, ROBERT ARTHUR, age 77, of Christiansburg, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007. He was a veteran having served in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Luke and Mae Marie Sledd Long and a son, Robert A. Long, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Hinkley Long, and daughter, Audrey Virginia Long and fianc?, Walter Mills; sister, Freda Curtis and brother-in-law, Don Curtis; three grandchildren, Johnny L. Long, Emily Long Akers, and Natasha Dawn Long.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Sutphin officiating. Interment will follow in Belmont Cemetery.
