Richard Allen Jones “Bubby”, 88, of Christiansburg, passed away on March 20, 2026. He retired from Federal Mogul. He and his wife, Josephine, attended Compassion Church in Radford. In his spare time he enjoyed playing pool with his friends at the Christiansburg Rec Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Myrtle Jones; brothers, William and Gilbert Jones; and sisters, Nancy Graham and Francis Sheppard.
Richard is survived by his wife of 68 years, Josephine Jones; sons, Ricky Jones, Darrell Jones (Rhonda), Eric Jones (Jolynn); grandchildren, Brian Jones (Michelle), James Jones, Brittany Elliot, Amanda Conner, Matthew Jones, and Jessica Harris (Patrick); 12 great-grandchildren; best friend, Jim Basham; dog, Toby; and several nieces and nephews.
Per Bubby’s request there will be no services.
