Rayburn Milton Fisher

Rayburn M Fisher, 87, of Elliston passed away November 13, 2025 peacefully at the VA Medical Center in Salem. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estle fisher & Irene Barnett Fisher; wife of 30 years, Shelbey Fisher; brother, Roger Fisher; daughter, Linda McCraw Barnett; and grandson, Joseph McCraw. 

Rayburn is survived by his brother, Ronald Fisher and wife, Sharon; sister, Faye Fulton; daughter; Pam Deisher and husband, James; grandson, Chad Edward Ray Deisher and wife, Carla, with their children, Takia, Kian and Atlas Deisher; granddaughter, Cindy McCormick and husband Nathan; grandson, Kyle Wood and his child, Hunter Wood; granddaughter, Genevia Hanna and husband, Harry with their children, Kara & Alec; and two great friends, Emma Poff and John Ryan. 

The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice and the VA nurses on CLC for the kindness and care. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 18 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Greg Irby officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors.
