Pearline Gwen Young Smith

Pearline Gwen Young Smith, 82, of Pulaski, passed away on July 30, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Minnie Akers Sutphin; and her first and second husbands, Walter Lee Young and Charles L. Smith; as well as seven siblings.

Pearline is survived by her son, Tony Young; grandson, Tyler Young; brother, Draper Sutphin, and sister, Sibil Lester; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Karin ‘Kay’ Gravely, one of her nieces, who took care of her in her final days, and thank you to Marcia with Medi-Hospice.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 1, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Charles DeHart officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
