Patsy S. Wallace, 80, of Floyd, VA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025,
surrounded by her loving family.

Patsy was born on October 10, 1945, in Grundy, VA, to the late Arthur Stiltner and Georgia Ann Ratliff Roberts. She grew up in Shawsville and graduated from Allegheny District High School, class of 1964, entering the workforce immediately, finding her calling in the banking industry. In 1965, Patsy married Gene Wallace in a joyful ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Their 47-year marriage was filled with shared adventures, quiet moments at their Floyd County home, and raising their three sons with love and laughter.

Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Wallace, by her parents, Arthur Stiltner and Georgia Ann Ratliff Roberts, and by her sister Irma Jean Tollison Mays. She is survived by her devoted sons and their families: Greg and Dierdre “Dee” Wallace of Floyd; Chris Wallace and Lee Bishop of Floyd; and Tim Wallace of Floyd; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers, Sam Tollison of Riner and Jay Roberts of Shawsville; her sister, Phyllis Walters of Salem; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends from her banking and church communities.

A devoted member of Floyd Baptist Church, Patsy met life’s joys and challenges with quiet strength, gentle humor, and steadfast faith. Her 20 years at the Bank of Floyd reflected her deep connection to the community, where she treasured the friendships and bonds she formed throughout Floyd County.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate caregivers at Heritage House who supported her in her final days. A celebration of Patsy’s life will be held at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The family will receive friends from 10:00–11:00 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel, officiated by Pastor Terry Semones. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in the mausoleum.
