Otto Ray Epperly (Pluto), 90, of Christiansburg, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013, in Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Epperly; his mother, Florence Cummings; his half-brothers, Sidney Miles, Winston Cummings, Jimmy Cummings, and Wayne Cummings. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Irene; daughter, Francine Helms (Barry); granddaughters, Linda Acker (Justin) of Socorro, NM, and Mary Vissani (Daniel) of Christiansburg; great-grandchildren, Penny Acker, Olivia and Simeon Vissani; sister-in-law, Carmen Blevins of Abingdon, VA; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Dennis Curd officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
