Mary Lee Morris Carroll

Mary Lee Morris Carroll passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was born in 1933. 

Mary Lee is survived by her daughter Vickie and son-in-law Phillip J. Clauer, State College, PA, grandchildren Ashley Schatz (David), Centreville VA; Phillip Ryan Clauer, Boston MA; and great-grandson Levi Schatz.

She is also survived by her sisters and their spouses:  Ruth Boothe (Hassell), Edith Marshall, Nancy Shelburne, Judy Wade (Joe),Sister-in-law Norma Carroll. Close and dear friend for many years Shirley Mullins.

Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Almey Morris, brother Clyde Morris, brother-in-laws Theodore Marshall, Rodney Shelburne, Wilson 'Speedy' Carroll and sister-in-law Dean Morris.

Also surviving are numerous extended family members including nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Mary Lee worked for Wades Grocery for many years. Her caring and kindness for others made everyone feel like they were family; whether a fellow employee or customer. Her smile would light up the room. 

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Belmont Christian Church. The family would like to personally thank all her friends and the members of the church who assisted Mary Lee in the past. Special thanks to all the caregivers who provided assistance to Mary Lee during her final years. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 21st from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday May 22 at 11:00 am at Belmont Christian Church with Rev. Beaver Terry officiating. Graveside service following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
