Mary Dianne Addison, 68, of Christiansburg, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Montgomery Regional Hospital.
Dianne was preceded in death by husband Claude Addison; son Scott Dowdy; daughter Cindy; granddaughter Patricia Dowdy; mother and father Mary & Tony Simmons; sister Doris Altizer; and brother Norman Simmons.
Remaining to cherish her memories are her daughter Doris Ann King; sons Robbie Dowdy, Mike Dowdy and Tony Reed; step-sons Robby Addison, Steve Addison, and Jeff Addison; sisters Anna & husband Phil Saunders of Christiansburg, Irene Simmons, of Riner; brother James H. Simmons & wife Betty of Christiansburg; brother-in-law Sid Altizer; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special than you to Frances Coberly for the care of Dianne.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, from 12-2 pm at Horne Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 2 pm in the Chapel. Rev. Don Peters will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
