Marlene Elizabeth Young was born on January 25th, 1960 in

Montgomery County, Virginia her parents were Ruth Elizabeth Crisp a

native of Christiansburg, Virginia and James Donald Crisp of Pulaski,

Virginia. She watched her parents along with her grandparents S.B.

Morgan and Lucy Elizabeth Morgan run their famous Taxi cab service

and restaurant that was located on Depot Street in Christiansburg

 Virginia.

Marlene's parent’s eventually moved to Washington D.C. in the

mid 60’s. Marlene accepted Christ at a very young age and attended East

Friendship Baptist Church located in Washington D.C. Marlene had

various occupations that range from Cosmetology, Data Processing,

Childcare, and last but certainly not least C.N.A. Marlene enjoyed

spending time with her family. Family was a huge factor when it came

to Marlene; she loved traveling, eating seafood, and spending time

 together during the holidays.

On another note, Marlene was the only child and a true daddy’s

girl. Unfortunately her dad's health started to decline in the early 2000’s

which resulted in Marlene and her children having to relocate back to

her hometown Christiansburg Virginia in June 2002 to care for her

father. She was honored to take care of her father in his final days. After

her father passed she went back to work as a certified nursing assistant at

Heritage Hall in Blacksburg, VA. She worked the weekend shift so she

was not able to attend church. She made sure she studied God’s word

daily by watching Les Feldick and TD Jakes. Marlene’s health began to

decline and she had to leave her job as a Certified nursing assistant. Her

faith in God remained strong in the most challenging times. Marlene

loved her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and extended family very

 much.

She was preceded in death by her Maternal grandparents Lucy E.

Holmes-Morgan, S.B. Morgan, and Paternal grandparents Samuel Crisp,

and Mary Della Crisp, her parents Ruth E. Crisp, and James Donald

Crisp. She is survived by her husband of 35 years Wayne F. Young, her

daughters Nakisha Crisp, Latoya Young, Latricia Young, and Natascha

(Andrew) Dillon, her grandchildren Morgan Young-Stewart, Kamryn

Dillon, and Harper Dillon, her sister in laws Lisa Cherry, Kimberly Pitts,

and Waynetta Young. She also leaves behind her Aunts Delzora

 extended family and Friends.
