Marie W. Royal, 87, of Christiansburg passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Lee Royal; her mother, Dessie Boitnott Wingfield Mize; and her father, Stuart Edward Wingfield. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Royal & Garnett (Bill) Epperly, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Lee and Lisa Cox Royal; grandchildren, Sidney Marie Epperly and William Tanner Epperly, all of Christiansburg; and half-brother, Robert Mize and his wife Marion of Martinsville.
Marie was a wonderful, loving Mom and MawMaw, who put her family first. We would like to thank the staff of Skyline Nursing for their care of Marie over the last few years.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2013, from 4-6 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held on Monday, July 8th at 2 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Martinsville.
