ATKINSON, LULA KEITH, age 99, of Shawsville, passed away at her daughter’s home on Sunday, April 22, 2007. She was a member of the Texas Chapel Church, Shawsville known now as the Maranatha Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence William Keith and Alton Atkinson; her son, Kenneth William Keith. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Phyllis Ann Keith of Shawsville; son Wesley Atkinson & wife, Barbara of Christiansburg; and daughter-in-law, Barbara A. Keith of Shawsville; grandchildren, Michael Light & wife, Lisa; Julie Brookman & husband, Stevie; Brian Keith & wife, Lisa; Lee-Ann Bibb; Cymrick Woolwine & husband, Rick; Sarah Benson & husband, Mike; Connie Havens & husband, Tony; 12 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, special niece & friend, Colleen Moore & husband, Marvin. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Carilion Hospice of the New River Valley for their friendly help and dedicated service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Sutphin officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Cemetery.
