TURMAN, LOUISE JOHNSON, age 85, of Christiansburg, passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 at her home.

Louise was a veteran of the U.S. Army WAC corps during WW II, she was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, and was employed by Montgomery County Library as the driver of the bookmobile for thirteen years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mallie Johnson and a brother, Andy Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Luther Howard Turman; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia T. and Eugene Plaster; a son and daughter-in-law, William H. “Bill” and Linda Turman; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a sister; Jessie Ruth Fitzgerald of Holiday, FL.

At her request there will be no visitation and a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18th in Sunset Cemetery, conducted by Pastor Randy Morris.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church or Christiansburg Rescue Squad in her honor.
