Lonnie E. Trimble

Lonnie "Pete" Trimble, 80, of Elliston, entered into his heavenly home September 26, 2024.  Pete was a faithful member of the Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church.  He also served his country in the US Air Force.  Pete is survived by his fur baby Sadie; his loving wife, Shirley B. Trimble; grandson, Seth Bell; great granddaughter, Ashlyn Bell; daughter-in-law, Tammy Renee Bell.  Pete is preceded in death by his son, Stacey W. Bell; daughter, Melissa Renee Bell; mother and father, Dulcie and Clarence Trimble.  Special thanks to Rev. Eddie and Debbie Gallimore, Daniel Woods and great friend, Ervin Mills.  In lieu of flowers Pete has asked that contributions be made to Youth Fund at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 2 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church.  Funeral services will follow at 12 at the church with Pastor Wes Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Halls Church Cemetery.  Family and men of the church will be serving as pallbearers.
