Lois Jean Dickey

Lois Jean Dickey, born on March 9, 1924 passed away at the age of 99 on March 8, 2024.

She was currently living in Radford, VA for the past 12 years with her daughter but was a native of Pittsburgh, PA.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Dickey; sisters, Viola L. Fiskey, Katheryn E. Robson, Ethel H. Pfetsch, Almeda M. Van Maurick; parents, Ethel M. and Edward L. Miller.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol J. Long; granddaughter and grand son-in-law, AJ Moose and Bill Moose, granddaughter and grand son-in-law, Bonnie and Timothy Rutherford, great-grandson, Benjamin Brightman and wife Jessica Brightman; great-granddaughter, Caitlin Russell; great-great-grandson, Lenny Meredith; great-great granddaughter, Emma Meredith.

Lois was a full-time homemaker. She loved sewing, playing cards, she also enjoyed playing golf, traveling and playing the organ. Loved word search books and puzzles. She attended Belmont Christian Church in Christiansburg, VA.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all the professional caregivers at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center and Radford Rehab. They would also like to express their thanks to all the family, friends, and members of the Belmont Christian Church.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 10:00 am at Lakewood Memorial Gardens in Cheswick, PA.
