Landon Brammer Bishop, 78, of Riner, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Dewey and Livie Ruth Bishop; sister, Lila Ann Lester; and brothers, Harold Bishop, Thomas Bishop, and James Bishop. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Frances Harris Bishop; son, Michael L. Bishop; daughters, Donna and Steven Thomas, Wilma and Greg Wolford, and Wanda and Bobby Martin; grandchildren, Stephanie and Michael Galliher, Seth Thomas, Shannon Smith, Jesse Thomas, Brandon Smith, Rebecca Thomas, Ashley and Jonathan Custer, and Amber and Kevin Smith; step-grandchild, Whitney Wolford; great-grandchildren, Ian Smith, Ashton Smith, Lilah Custer, and Adelyn Galliher; sisters, Lorene Collins, Marie Lester, and Frances and Don Drury; and brother, Bobby Bishop.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. at New Hope Church of God, Mudpike Road, Christiansburg. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Church of God, with Pastor T. Michael Bond and Pastor Jamie Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
