KATRINA CELESTE HOWARD, age 9, of Shawsville, VA, passed away from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, June 21, 2011.
She is survived by her parents, Mary Bird & Curtis Lynn; her grandma/adopted mom, Donna Keske; her grandpa/adopted father, Jeff Howard; adopted siblings, Tressa Cates, Scott Lynn, Derrick (Jonny) Lynn; great-grandmother, Ida Mae Meng; adopted grandparents, Carol & Bob Smith; and Lorene Howard, and many other extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 26, 2011, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011, at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Blacksburg, with Bishop Mark E. Peterson officiating. Interment will follow at the Keske-Howard Cemetery, 2765 Fishersview Road, Shawsville, VA.
Flowers will be accepted, however, those wishing to make memorials are asked to consider making them to the Cates/Howard Memorial Fund, c/o The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 575 Magna Carta Drive, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
