Joseph Lee Adams, Jr., passed away June 28, 2026. He was born October 11, 1953, to the late Joseph Lee Adams, Sr. and Inez Adams. Also preceding him in death were his wife, Janice Marie Adams; grandson, Axel Ouellette; and siblings, Linda Faye Carr and Daniel Adams.

He leaves behind daughters, Samantha Baron (Cameron), Jennifer Steinbrecher (Kyle), Angela Bradbury; grandchildren, Samantha Pettus, Brooke Pettus, Cora Carter, Bristol Steinbrecher, and Hunter Steinbrecher. He is further survived by his brother, David Adams (Virginia); as well as other loving family members.

Joseph was a loving father and member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, fast cars, antique cars (as well as working on them). Joseph also enjoyed Sunday football and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. He spent time reading his Bible and talking about Jesus, and telling jokes to make people laugh. Joseph loved his dog, Wolf and grand-dog, Penny.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 1-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home, with Memorial Service to follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with Keith Weaver officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Joseph’s name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or to Gospel Light Baptist Church.
