Jerry Mason Lytton

Jerry Mason Lytton born on March 16th, 1937 in McDowell County, West Virginia to Mason Howard Lytton and Gladys Gravely Lytton.

Preceded in death by loving wife Loretta Mills Lytton, daughter Alicia Gaye and great grandson Evan Tucker Lytton, siblings Bettie Cox, James Gordon Lytton and Alice Scott.

Left to cherish his memory are sons Derek Lytton, Marvin and Joseph (Joe) Lytton all of Christiansburg, VA, daughters Karen Simpkins (Eugene) of Snowville, VA and Melinda Larkin (Joel) of Largo, Florida.

Grandchildren: Scott Lytton, Stephanie Lytton, Jeremiah Simpkins, Joseph “Caleb” Simpkins (Regan), Alicia Larkin, GySgt Craig Larkin (Lovelyrie), Ethan Simpkins (Sara) and Tyler J. Simpkins.

Great Grandchildren: Austin Lytton, Noah Lytton, Elyssa Guthrie, Sawyer Guthrie, Catalina Larkin, Jayden Marshall, Raelynn Simpkins, Joseph Caleb Simpkins Jr. and Isabella Larkin.

Special Cats: Kaley and Tippy

Jerry was a skillful brick mason for 40+ years. He worked hard to provide for his family. He retired from AT&T and then attended NRCC for welding.

Jerry loved to read about History and the daily newspaper. He mostly loved family time and gatherings.

Jerry was very close to his grandson Tyler; they had a very special bond and were best friends. Tyler was his favorite piano player, and also was there to care for him when he needed it the most.

He was a devoted Christian, husband, father and grandfather.

He will be dearly missed by all. Special appreciation to all the staff of Medi Hospice.
