Jalaledin Dadras

Papa was a generous man with a heart of gold; many loved him as their own. He lived with a deep love for life and a grateful heart, thankful for every day. He loved fully and selflessly and was always willing to help anyone at any time. He instilled strong values in his family, emphasizing kindness, compassion, humor, and integrity. His life was filled with love and laughter, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Born in Shiraz, Iran, he immigrated to the United States in the 1970s with the dream of building a better life for his future family. Through hard work, determination, and sacrifice, he created a life rooted in love, opportunity, and family, values he carried with him every day.

He took on many roles throughout his life including husband, brother, father, grandfather, chef, nature lover, risk taker, world traveler, and salesman. No matter the role, he carried it with pride and love for those around him. He saw the good in everyone and always offered encouragement or a helping hand to those in need.

He was grounded in hard work and took great pride in providing for his family. He shared 49 loving years of marriage with his wife, Joni, building a life centered around family. In his free time, he enjoyed simple routines that brought him joy, including time at the aquatic center, stopping by Kroger for daily deals, and spending time with his beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, Murphy.

He found joy in life’s simple beauties, especially nature, flowers, and trips to the beach, which brought him peace and happiness.

Above all, his greatest pride was his family. The lessons he taught through his actions, to love deeply, work hard, laugh often, and treat others with kindness, will continue to live on through them for generations to come.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Rahmat Dadras; father, Seyed Mohamad Dadras; sisters, Ehteram Dadras and Avid Dadras; and brother, Hashem Dadras.

He is survived by wife, Joni, his three daughters and their families, Juliet Dadras and her husband Preston Cox, Jamie Alderman and her husband Austin Alderman, and Jasmine Dadras and her fiancé Ian Halferty; brothers, Jason Dadras and Jamal Dadras; Jason’s daughter, Niyousha Dadras, and her husband Alex Smith; and grandchildren, Jaden Dadras, Xander Vines, Colin Cox, Elliott Cox, Maddelyn Alderman, and Lillian Alderman. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends throughout the world.

Though our hearts are heavy with his loss, we take comfort in the memories he leaves behind and the example he set for all of us. He will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. We love you, Dad.
