Iris J. Hunter

Iris J. Hunter, 82 of Dublin, passed away January 19, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy ‘Slim’ and Bessie Woolwine; sisters, Reba A. Woolwine, Barbara W. Adkins, Frances Thompson and husband John; brothers, Wilbert F. Woolwine, Sydney Woolwine and wife Scottie; and daughter-in-law, Julie Hunter.

Iris is survived by her husband, Charles Junior Hunter; sons, Barry L. Hunter and wife, Angela, Gary W. Hunter; grandchildren, Tya D. Linkous and husband Cody L. Linkous, Sr., Andrew W. Hunter and wife, Courtney; great-grandchildren, Cody L. Linkous, Jr., Ivy N. Linkous, Kenzie B. Hunter, Alexis L. Hunter; siblings, Roger Woolwine (Brenda), Judy Kerr (Jim); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, January 26, 2026, from 11 am to noon at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at noon in the Chapel, with Rev. Davie Whitlock officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Death leaves a heartache nothing can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
