Welles, Gloria Theresa Potter, 87, of Christiansburg, VA, formerly of Enfield, CT and Scarborough, Maine, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Franklin Welles; her companion, Robert Hackett; and sister, Anna Mary Murphy.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald W. Welles and wife, Karen N. Welles, of Christiansburg, VA, Jeffrey Welles and wife, Linda Welles, of W. Suffield, CT.; grandsons, Jason P. Welles, of Seattle, WA, Adam Welles, of Christiansburg, VA, and Tate Welles and wife, Tammy, of W. Suffield, CT; granddaughters, Shannon Welles, of Seattle, WA, Dana Laitinen, of Bradenton, FL; great-grandchildren, Holly and Adam; granddogs, Frankie, Logan and Lightfoot; and grandcat, Steely.
A memorial service will be held in Enfield, CT, at a later date. Donations may be sent to an American Cancer Society or Hospice Care of your choice.
