Garnet Ross Woolwine received her angel wings on January 1, 2024. She was born February 8, 1926, in Mingo County, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kipps Woolwine; her twin sister, Gracie Mae Woolwine and Gracie’s husband, Gilbert Woolwine, Kipps’ brother.
Garnet is survived by her only daughter, Linda Gray Hylton (Steve); and a step-daughter, Jean Cochran; three grandchildren, John Gray (Holly), and their children, Addison and Cruz, Lauran Gray Creed (Aaron) and their child Violet, Sherry Simpkins Vaughn (Spencer) and their children, Isaac, Melody, Megan, Mary, and Molly; three special family members, Teddy Woolwine, Lois Brunner, and Crystal; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private graveside service at Sunset Cemetery on Friday, January 5, 2024, with Rev. Neal Turner officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad or Christiansburg Fire Department.
