AKERS, Fairy Frances, 79, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 28, 2011.
She was a retiree from Virginia Tech.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harve (Tom) Akers.
She is survived by her daughter, Madeline Carreon; sons and daughters-in-law, Dale & Leissa Akers and Scott & Della Akers. She is also survived by three brothers and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the New Hope Church of God, Christiansburg. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Church with Pastor T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
