Corrine T. Vaughn

Corrine Thompson Vaughn, 85 of Riner, Virginia went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 in the devoted loving care of her daughter Angie. Corrine was born to Gold and Irene Thompson. She is now in the loving arms of her savior and reunited forever with her loving husband Harold whom she missed dearly. In addition to her parents and husband Harold Vaughn she is preceded in death by her son Mark Vaughn, Brothers, Johnny Thompson, Kenneth Thompson and Sister Mary Jones.

She is survived by her sons Jody Vaughn (Sherri), Josh Vaughn (Kimberly), Daughter Angie Rutledge (Thom) and 11 grandchildren, Derek Vaughn, Ashleigh Lytton, Matthew Vaughn (Natalie), Nathan Vaughn (Katie), Jesse Rutledge (Olivia), Laura Cannaday (Ty), Zach Rutledge (Sidney), Jacob Rutledge, Hannah Rutledge, Chase Vaughn, Grayson Vaughn and 10 great -grandchildren, Caleb Lytton, Zachary Vaughn, Aiden Vaughn, Nolan Vaughn, Mya Cannaday, Bridger Cannaday, Rowan Vaughn, Fletcher Vaughn, Parker Rutledge and Peyton Rutledge. Also survived by her 2 sisters Betty Linkous (CB), Winki Akers and many nieces and nephews.

Corrine had an amazing eye for home designing both inside and out. Her flower and bird gardens were something to behold. In the summers she hosted many family reunions that everyone looked forward to and will cherish the memories for ever.

The family would like to thank her Caregiver Taylor Cherry from Good Samaritan Hospice and her supportive sisters Betty and Winki.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 12:00 until 1:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home and her funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel. Interment will be in the Thompson Family Cemetery in Floyd, VA.
