Christie Lorine Lang

Christie Lorine Hay Lang, born on August 3, 1970 of Newport, VA gained her wings on Monday, May 26, 2025 at the age of 54. Christie was preceded in death by her parents, JC and Shirley Hay and Jay and Carolyn Overholt as well as her brother Ronnie Hinkley.

Christie is survived by her husband, Punkin (Eddie) Lang and the following family: Carol and Mike, Charlene, and Jack; brothers: Jamie, Dwayne, Tudor, Jared, Augie, Lil’ Jamie, Scott, Tom, Paul, Carl, Marlin, Andrew, Andrew, Jody, Stacey, Clay, and Ricky; sisters: Ann, Christy, Monica, Carrie, Stacy, Heather, Amy, Debbie, Carol, Vicky, Katherine, Chelsea, Elanda, Ashley, Cindy, Jordan, Jordan and Barbie; kids: Critter (Chris), Emma, Dillon, Summer, Dara, Kristy, Hope, Marie, Gabriel, Ayden, Oakland, Allissa, Lil’ Man (James), Alicia, Billie, Timothy, Scott, Lil’ Paul, Kasey, Britney, Taylor, Ashley, Cameron, Nick, Jr (Steven), Brianna, Lillie, Marrie, Marley, Neil, Leeiam, Lillie, Trey, Nova, Gracie, Scotty, Rachel, Jeremiah, Maddison, Izzy, Mia, Adjulik, Zack, Connor, Sadie, Scarlett, Lori Mae and Hunter.

Christie dedicated her life to her family and had a major hand in raising all of the aforementioned kids born on all sides of her family. From cradling the newborns to wrangling the energetic older ones and sharing wisdom and advice with the young adults was her calling and passion. Christie loved spending time with her family, playing with the kids, teaching them and making sure that everyone in her life knew she loved them fiercely. Christie was a beloved church member at New Pentecostal UHC located on Wake Forest Rd in Blacksburg, VA. She was baptized by full submersion and knew her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Visitation and service will be this Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Horne Funeral Service and Crematory, Inc. located at 1300 N Franklin St, Christiansburg VA 24073 beginning at 1 pm and service in Horne Chapel at 2 pm. Pastor Marlin A. Reeves II officiating.
