Cheryl Roop Sipe

Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Sipe (Roop), 68 of Dublin, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. Born on April 6, 1957, in Christiansburg, Cheryl was a devoted wife to Bobby Garland Sipe, Jr., with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Together they built a loving family and a life filled with enduring commitment and care.

She was the proud mother of three children, Jammie Edward Sipe, Kristie Lynn Breeding (Wendell), and Michael Paul Sipe. Her legacy continues through her nine cherished grandchildren, Justin, Jordin, John, Lee, Tyler, Kyle, Hailee, Evan, and Eden.

Professionally Cheryl dedicated herself to her work with diligence and integrity. She began her career at Renfro, where she worked for seven years before moving on to Dish Network. There she served as a Computer Programmer for 23 years – a role that reflected both her technical skills and steadfast work ethic.

Cheryl was deeply connected to her family. She is remembered fondly by her siblings: brothers, Steve (Heather), Ralph (Jodi), and Cecil; and sisters, Tammy (Mark) and Janet. Her extended family includes brothers-in-law, Neil (Sue) and Jimmy; sister-in-law, Susie (Steve); and daughters-in-law, Missy, Jessi, and Randi. Each held a special place in Cheryl’s heart.

Outside of work and family life, Cheryl found joy in the simple pleasures of nature, especially watching birds at the feeders near her home. She had a particular fondness for hummingbirds, whose delicate beauty brought her daily delight.

In recent times, Cheryl received compassionate care from Lynn Breeden – a special caregiver whose support brought comfort during difficult days.

Cheryl will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Her warmth touched many lives across generations. May her memory bring peace to all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.
