Charlotte Marye, a beloved wife, mother, and pillar of strength, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, at 1:15 AM on March 10, 2024. She was 96 years old.
Born in 1927, Charlotte Marye's life journey was marked by resilience, love, and unwavering dedication. She navigated through the challenges of the Great Depression and World War II, standing strong in the face of adversity. Despite the heartbreaking loss of a daughter, Charlotte remained a beacon of hope and courage for her family.
Charlotte's life was intertwined with that of her late husband, Senator Madison Marye, who served his country with honor in World War II, Korea and Vietnam, and served the Commonwealth of Virginia with distinction for 30 years as State Senator. She stood by his side, offering unwavering support and strength throughout his life.
As a devoted wife and a nurturing mother of two, Charlotte Marye's love and guidance shaped the lives of those around her. Her kindness, wisdom, and grace touched the hearts of all who knew her. She embraced life with passion and lived each day to the fullest, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.
In her rich and full life, Charlotte Marye embodied the values of resilience, love, and family. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, and her memory will forever be cherished.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Charlotte, son Jim, grandchildren Tyler, Jim II, Julia, and Emily, great grandchildren Romina, Lucas, Ellis, Olivia, and Robi.

A memorial service will be held at White Memorial Methodist Church on April 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM, and a private graveside service for the family will immediately follow.
