Cecille Sayers Pettry

Cecille Sayers Pettry, age 96 of Pearisburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Pettry; daughter, Shelby B. Collins; father and mother, Ellis and Roxie Sayers; and grandson, John Gillespie. 

Mrs. Pettry is survived by her daughters, Sandra C. Vest of GA., and Sharon and husband Dan Steuck of CA.; son-in-law, Billy Collins of VA.; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; brother, Howard Sayers of SC.; along with nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends at Horne Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery.
