Buddy Gene Mason

Buddy Gene Mason, 92, of Christiansburg passed away on August 10, 2026. He was born in Franklin County to Eugene Giles Mason and Lena Holcomb Mason.

Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Mason, and his siblings, Goldie Edwards, Elizabeth Edwards, and Buren Mason.

Buddy was an adventurer! As a young man, he served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He had a lifelong love of adventure. His best adventure was marrying Patricia and building a family.

He is survived by his five children, James Mason, Jessica Bolyn, Eugene Mason (Lisa), Lena Perry (Tommy), Frances Mullins (Jess Tatoy), and Joseph Mason. Buddy is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He had a lifelong love of racing, as a driver and a fan of Bill and Chase Elliot. He loved anything that created a good time and laugh.
