Brenda G Rutherford, age 73, of Elliston, VA, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

Brenda is survived by her children Ara Renee (Jimmy) Mooney, Angela Puckett Smallwood, James “Shawn” Harris, and Anna Elizabeth Bain (Howard Johnson); her sister Delia Reynolds as well as by her grandchildren: Mark Reynolds, Tyler Bain, Miranda Smallwood, Antonio Johnson, Terrance Johnson, and Matilda Smallwood. And 5 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marion “Pat” and Elizabeth “Pete” Rutherford and her two brothers Robert and Michael Rutherford.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 1pm to 2pm at Horne Funeral Home at 1300 N Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA. The funeral will immediately follow the visitation. Brenda will be laid to rest at Belmont Community Cemetery at 2173 Dominion Dr, Christiansburg, VA.
