Bertie Stewart Myers Lawson

Bertie Stewart Myers Lawson, 91 passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 in Marlow, Oklahoma. Bertie was born in Montgomery County, Virginia on May 24, 1932. Due to failing health, she decided in September 2022, to live with her son, Kevin Lawson and his wife, Diana in Oklahoma.
She held numerous occupations in her lifetime from hairdresser, CNA, restaurant owner and retired from Pulaski Furniture. Our mom loved to cook for everyone. She would host various functions for the entire family. She loved gardening and canning, mostly tomatoes. Her homemade spaghetti sauce is the absolute best. While living in Oklahoma she was able to help plant 120 tomato plants and canned 68 quarts of tomatoes and 22 quarts of spaghetti sauce. 
Left to cherish Bertie’s memory is her sister, Lula Bell Jones, Christiansburg, Virginia and daughters, Linda Wyatt, (husband, Danny), Suzie Roop, Sherry Marshall, (husband, Carlie), Vanessa Myers and son, Kevin Lawson, (wife, Diana), Along with 14 Grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 10 great, great, grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry P. and Mary S. Stewart and her husband, Hearld “Danny” Lawson.
The family will greet friends from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
Graveside services for Mrs. Lawson will be held at Sunset Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
