Barbara G. Embert, 69, of Mt. Airy, NC, formerly of Christiansburg, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph M. & Mary Louise Kingrea; her husband, Robert Lee Embert, Jr.; and her brothers, Doug, Earl and James Kingrea.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Tucker & husband, Brian; sons, Timothy Embert and Meredith Bowman; grandchildren, Jessica, Marcus, Joseph, Tiara, Brian, Jr., Lyndsey and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Landon and Serenity.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 22, 2012, from 6-8 pm at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012, at 11 am in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Richard Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery, Floyd.
