Anna Bishop McGuire, 66, of Christiansburg, VA, went to a better place on November 18, 2011.
She was born on December 30, 1944, to the late Clarence L. Bishop and Essie Bowman Bishop. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin H. Bishop.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard N. McGuire; sons, Eric Martin McGuire and Gregory Alan McGuire & wife, Susan; 3 grandchildren, Brandon M. McGuire, Bailey E. McGuire and Kellye M. McGuire; brothers and sisters, Nancy B. Hale (Alvin), Celia B. Cassell, Lois B. Burnett, Sylvia B. Rutherford, Clarence L. Bishop (Brook), Earl L. Bishop (Sue); 9 nieces and 7 nephews.
She loved her small garden, especially the beautiful flowers. Anna was employed by Kroger for 30 years.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 20, 2011, from 5-7 pm at the Horne Funeral Home, with a memorial service following in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Peters officiating. Music and soloist will be Heidi Stansfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106-A, Roanoke, VA 24018.
