Angela Dawn Blankenship

Our beloved, wife, daughter, mother, and granny, Angela Dawn Blankenship, 54 of Christiansburg, Virginia passed away on December 4, 2025. Angie was born October 8, 1971, was known for her strength, generosity, and loving spirit. She showed her children how to live a life of thoughtfulness, perseverance, and respect.

Angie will be remembered for her beautiful smile, gentle hugs, and big heart.

Angie found passion in life as an accomplished portrait photographer winning an award and becoming a brand ambassador for Olan Mills. Angie found another love in her lifetime with her husband David who adored her. Angie saw David as her best friend, partner in life, and safe haven. They brought a renewed joy and sense of completion to each other’s lives.

Angie is joined in rest by her Pappy Delbert and mother, Linda Harrison; grandmother and grandfather, Millie & C.O. Sowers. Along with many other loved ones.

Angie will lovingly be remembered by her husband, David Blankenship; her children, Dalton Reedy and Kayla her husband Lucas and their daughter Piper; step children, Dallas Hoback and his daughters Jayden and Addy, Hallee Blankenship; mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Leon Hamblin. Angie also leaves behind a group of heart broken relatives, including Richard and Connie Burk; uncle, Howard Sowers; cousins and countless friends; fur babies, Mollie and Gracie.

Angie had a big impact on all that knew her. She was a bubbly person, making jokes while facing life’s biggest hurdles. She loved animals, family, and holidays. She loved classic country music, cooking, reading, and gardening. Her greatest accomplishment was being a mother. She loved her children to “Heaven and back”. Angie will be desperately missed by those she loved and those that loved her. She was our roots and now our wings.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 12 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Jube Burk officiating. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery.
