William Mason 'Billy' Carter III

William Mason 'Billy' Carter, III, of Florida, previous of Montgomery County, Virginia, passed away on October 14, 2020.
At the age of 8, he took apart an am/fm radio and put the whole thing back together again and it worked. While at East Tennessee State University, he got a job with MGM where he took ALL their analog movies in their huge library and transferred them to digital, which was no small task. The films were old, not always in good shape, needed color restoration but he completed that within 2 years. But his true passion and calling was with the circus as Operations Manager for the Cole Brothers Circus.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 22, 2020, from 10-11 a.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 11 in the Chapel, with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
