THOMPSON, WARD GRAY, age 88, of Riner passed away Monday, February 21, 2005.
He was the son of the late Charles Wade Thompson and Ethel Bishop Thompson. Also preceding him in death was his wife of 56 years, Madeline Smith Thompson. He was a retired farmer, fox hunter, and a big fan of St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel & Nancy Thompson; daughter and fianc?, Barbara Griffith and Glenn Hancock; step-daughter and husband, Norma & William Mitchell; grandsons, Eric Griffith, Brian Griffith, step-grandson, Randall Mitchell; great granddaughter, Briana Griffith; brother and sister-in-law, Fred & Marie Thompson, niece, Teresa Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, in the Horne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The Thompson family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Inc. (382-2612)
