Virginia B. Phillips

Virginia B. Phillips, 89, of Christiansburg, passed away on February 9, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marley and Myrtle Brumfield; husband, Alonzo Kenneth Phillips; and daughter, Donna Marie Higgs.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Wayne Phillips (Alva) of Riner, VA, Steve A. Phillips of Christiansburg, VA; grandchildren, Nicole Connolly (Tim) of Santa Clarita, CA, Valerie Russell (Lance) of Amsterdam, Netherlands, Travis Higgs (Dani) of Christiansburg, VA, and Bryan Higgs (Arielle) of Memphis, TN; great-grandchildren, Matthew James Connolly, Adam Philip Connolly, Lorelei Evliana Russell, Isaiah Scott Higgs, and Virginia Marie Higgs; special friend, Janice Shirah; sisters, Mary Logan of Roanoke, VA, Betty Burke of Suffolk, VA; sisters-in-law, Wilma Brumfield, Leah Gillie (Tom), Eva Phillips, and Agnes Phillips; brother-in-law, Cline Phillips; and son-in-law, Harold Higgs.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 13, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 10 a.m. at The Church of Christ, S. Franklin Street, Christiansburg, with Mr. Dennis Curd and Mr. Blake Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
