MYERS, Virginia Akers, 92, of Christiansburg, Virginia, went to join her beloved husband Malcolm (Mike) Myers on January 26, 2009.
She was born on May 7, 1916. She and her husband owned and operated Myers Cash Market in Christiansburg for many years.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a very good friend Arlene Houchins of Christiansburg.
The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home, Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 1 -2 p.m. The funeral service will be held in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 with Reverend Steve Akers and Reverend Leon Alley officiating. The family request no graveside services held due to the weather. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to The Helping Fund c/o Ellett Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church, 395 Pine Hollow Road, Christiansburg, Virginia 24073.
