Virginia Thelma Baker, 86 of Christiansburg formerly of Pilot went to be with the Lord on Thursday September 27, 2007 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Rev Opha W. Baker, daughter Drema K. Simpkins, granddaughter and husband Jennifer and Steve Martin, several nieces, nephews, great-neices, great-nephews, and many friends.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5– 8 p.m. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Evrett Shephard officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Christiansburg.
