Viola Jane Denton

Viola Jane (Janie) Denton, 87, of Christiansburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman (Buddy) Denton; son, David L. Denton; and her parents, Moses and Bessie Boyd Wyant. She is survived by her son, Willard E. Denton of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Chris (Laurie) Denton of Richmond, Stacey (Matthew) Sutphin of Snowville, David Mark (Kelly) Denton of Front Royal, and Nancy (Roger) Beasley of Hillsville; great-grandchildren, Sydni Denton, Taylor Sutphin, David Denton, Dakota Denton, Dustin Denton, Jacob Beasley, and Joe Beasley; and a sister-in-law, Helen Hartless.

The family will have a graveside service on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery, with Pastor Neal Wood officiating.

The family would like to thank special friend, Austin Hughes, the staff of Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Maggie Belton of Medical Associates, and her special caregivers, Marie Southern and Leo and Claire Southern.
