Viola Clark

Clark, Viola Jewel Briscoe, 82, of Elliston, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 31, 2009. She was born on January 2, 1927 to the late Martin Thomas and Hazel Aumiller Briscoe. She was also preceded in death by her husband Arthur B Clark and her son Larry Clark.

She was a member of Big Spring Baptist Church and loved to read. She loved her family and she loved her God.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Sirles and husband Bryan of Pocahontas, VA; sons, Trent Clark of Salem, VA, and Barry Clark and wife Lisa of Salem, VA; granddaughters: Cristina Kingrey and fiance’ Frank Justice; Bobbie Lovall, both of Salem, VA; Crystal Clark of Vandalia Il; grandsons, Chris Clark of Vandalia, IL, and Adam Clark of Salem, VA; one great grandson, Justin Kingrey of Salem,, VA; two brothers, one sister, numerous nieces and nephews; and lots of friends.

A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 10:00 am at Big Spring Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Gray and Pastor Virgil McHone officiating. Interment will follow in Den Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 pm on Monday, January 4, 2010 at Big Spring Baptist Church. Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so to a breast cancer charity of your choosing.
