GRAHAM, TRUBIE IVAN, age 76, of Shawsville, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2007 at New River Valley Medical Center.

Born March 10, 1931, in Botetourt County, VA the son of the late Amos Graydon and Pearle Nancy Sutphin Graham. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, helping others, gardening, golfing, and piloting small aircraft. He retired from Rowe Furniture Corporation in 1995, as Vice-President of Manufacturing after 45 years of dedicated service, with eighteen years in Poplar Bluff, MO. Later his love for people led him to a part-time job with Bill’s Used Parts as a part-time deliverer. He was also preceded in death by a brother Graydon I. Graham.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Dickerson H. Graham; two sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas Edward “Eddie” Graham and wife, Vicki, Robert Anthony “Bob” Graham, all of Poplar Bluff, MO; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Ann DeWeese and Terry, Lee’s Summit, MO; step-son, Aaron Randall Hall and wife, Donna, Edison, TN; step daughter, Sharon Hale, Shawsville, VA; one granddaughter, one grandson, two great grandsons; one step granddaughter and two step grandsons; a brother and sister-in-law, Carl I Graham and wife, Delmar, Salem, VA; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia I and Jack Sutliff, Troutville, VA; sister-in-law, Wyoma Graham Rock, Roanoke, VA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 Sunday evening, Oct. 7th, at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8th, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Piedmont Cemetery, Shawsville, VA. Flowers will be appreciated, however, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Shawsville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 14, Shawsville, VA 24162.
