Tony Sheppard

July 31, 1970 — January 10, 2007

SHEPPARD, TONY WAYNE, of Radford, went to meet the Lord Wednesday Night, January 10, 2007.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dana Marie Boothe Sheppard; grandfather, Ernie Draper Boothe, his uncle, Ernie Dwayne Boothe and his grandparents, Harmon W. and Celestia G. Sheppard. He will be remembered for kindness he showed to others, his outgoing personality, he was known for saying, ?Forget about it, it?s done and over with.? He was a ?brother from another mother? to Steve, Mike, Gary, Timmy. He was known for his generous spirit, he would give you the shirt off his back. Tony loved to make you laugh and he was the star of the show.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife and best friend, Tammy Altizer Sheppard; son, Ryan Scott Sheppard; his father, Jerry W. Sheppard all of Radford; grandmother, Elizabeth Ann Boothe of Christiansburg; uncle, Lynn Sheppard of Ohio, aunts, Freda Dempsey of Alexandria; Linda Vaught of Blacksburg, Linda Jones & her husband, Charles of Christiansburg; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Guy and Barbara Altizer, brothers-in-law, Michael Brown, Stephen Brown, Gary Brown, Timmy Altizer, all of Pilot; a special nephew, Adam Brown; and special niece, Faith Brown.

The family will receive friends from 4 ? 8 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Neil Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The Sheppard Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, (382-2612).
