Thelma Adkins

Adkins, Thelma Mae, born April 27, 1927 passed into her Savior’s arms on February 22, 2009, at Heritage Hall in Blacksburg, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dewey H. and Lydia Gilmore Adkins; brothers, Lacy, Harless, Arnold and Garnett Adkins; sister, Rachel Adkins.
She is survived by brothers, Melvin Adkins and wife, Dorothy of Erin Tennessee, Wilford Adkins and wife, Dorothy, and Paul Adkins, all of Christiansburg, Virginia. She was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will greatly miss her. The family wishes to thank the staff at Heritage Hall for the loving and special care she received.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jube Burke officiating. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
